Washington State Arts Alliance (WSAA) is partnering with Galley One and other cultural organizations to present the  Cultural Congress and Confab  Oct. 11-13, 2018 in Ellensburg.

The event will bring together artists, arts educators, heritage leaders, and advocates to discuss pressing issues in the field, network, and prepare an agenda for the next legislative budget session in 2019. Social events, and performances will make this a fun and informative gathering for advocates of arts, heritage, and culture. The Confab will offer art-making activities during the Congress.

An opening reception will occur on the evening of Thursday, Oct. 11, and the opening session will begin on the morning of Friday, Oct. 12. The Congress will conclude late Saturday afternoon, Oct. 13.

Costs are $175 per person for regular congress registration which includes several meals. Early bird registration is $125 and will conclude Sept. 11. Blocks of hotels rooms in Ellensburg are available at discount rates.

Reduced registration scholarships of $25 will support the participation of arts leaders based on diversity of background and geography. One scholarship is allowed per applying organization. Applicants do not need to belong to an organization to apply.

We are also seeking volunteers. Volunteer tasks include helping to plan the event, staffing the registration table, assisting with workshops, and cleaning up afterward.
